I am, but it's brief. Long enough to make the last of the divorce final, agree to all the things the lawyers have arranged for us...do a few things...and then come back in time to catch Sarah and Dave. Call it just a quick hop out of the nest.

Nono, that's not what I meant. I should have been clearer. You're not on a pedestal that I can't reach, and I don't think I'm not meeting the standards you have for conversations. It's just with that smattering of unsourced quotes, I felt for a moment like I wasn't up for the standard of conversational quality you've been used to /having/, of late. If that distinction makes any sense at all. Really, it was meant as a bit more of a self-deprecating joke than it came out, apparently.
